How to Use a Phone Scope & Spotting Scope in 10 Easy Steps:

Today, I will be showing you how to use a phone scope on a spotting scope in 10 easy steps. This tutorial is dedicated towards showing you the products needed to spot wildlife, as well as capture the beautiful wildlife that you see. The spotting scope that I purchased is the Athlon. This scope has high definition that spots all wildlife from hundreds of yards away. The phone scope that I purchased is called a “PhoneSkope” and it is used for an Android. This product is also available for an Apple phone. The tripod that I purchased is a Sirui, which is used to attach the spotting scope onto it. This tutorial will walk you through the 10 steps of how to use a spotting scope and how to use the phone scope with a spotting scope. Please watch the tutorial video in addition to reading these steps. Let’s get started!

The purpose of this tutorial and at the end of this tutorial you will be able to:

You will develop your skills in becoming familiar with a spotting scope and phone scope for how to successful capture beautiful photos or videos of wildlife.

You will need:

- A tripod

- Spotting Scope

- Phone Scope

- A smartphone

Steps to Success:

1) Tripod Set-up:

First, extend the tripod legs and set it up as needed.

2) Attaching the Scope:

Attach the spotting scope onto the tripod by pressing the red button as you insert the spotting scope onto the tripod.

3) Securing the Scope:

Turn the locking lever to secure the spotting scope onto the tripod.

4) Remove Lens:

Remove the protective lens covers on the spotting scope.

5) Placing Phone on Phone Scope:

Attach your phone onto the phone scope.

6) Attach Phone Scope onto Scope:

Place the phone and phone scope attachment onto the spotting scope.

7) Adjusting the Scope:

Adjust the spotting scope as needed where you spot your wildlife or object that you are capturing.

8) Magnification:

To adjust, use the magnification adjustment to zoom in on your wildlife or object.

9) Focusing:

Then, use the focal adjustment to focus in on the wildlife that you are capturing.

10) Finally Capture the Wildlife:

Now take the photo or video on your phone once you have it positioned the way you would like it.
